The competition

Send your demo CD containing 3 tracks (we will only listen to 3!) to us along with your name and full contact details plus your completed entry form at the address below.

Kerrang! judges will whittle it down to 8 bands who will play in the live final (Bands will be chosen and contacted by 28th March 2008)

The live final - 8 bands will battle it out in the afternoon of Saturday 19th April, playing 3 songs each in the Kerrang! Radio venue

The winning band will be chosen by both the audience and panel of judges (Please see T&C’s for further details).

The Prize

The winning band will play a full set on Sunday evening (20th April) and win Kerrang! goodies plus a guaranteed slot at MCN’s October 2008 event.

Terms & Conditions: The Kerrang! Unsigned Live competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over who enter on or before closing date of 14th March 2008. No purchase is necessary, but only one entry per band is allowed. Anyone who enters more than once will be excluded from the competition. The winner will be selected by voting which takes place once all finalist bands have played their set. The audience will be able to vote for their favourite via text. The panel of judges will carry 50% of the final decision with the remaining 50% being cast by the public text line. In the event of a tie, the Judges decision is final. Accommodation will be provided for performers only on a self-catering basis. The Promoters are Bauer Automotive Ltd, Media House, Lynchwood, Peterborough PE2 6EA. If for any reason beyond the promoter’s control it is not possible to provide the stated prizes, the promoter reserves the right to award alternative prizes of no lesser value. The promoter’s choice of alternative prize is final. The prize relating to the performance at the next event will be at no cost to Bauer Automotive Ltd, Kerrang! or Butlins, a slot will be arranged for the winning band to further promote themselves. No entries can be returned by the promoter. The promoter accepts no responsibility for resultant loss or delay of entries. We reserve the right to feature the names, photographs, and locations of winners in future promotions. Bauer Automotive Ltd will not be liable in the case of the event closure. Sound engineering and a backline will be provided by the venue including 1 drumkit, 1 bass amp, 1 guitar, mics and monitors.
